First week on a new air station (*Iwakuni, Japan*), and I'm trying my best to find my way around mainland Japan. Things here are CHO (japanese for VERY) different. Somethings, thankfully, never change. We went to church yesterday and midway through the service had Communion. As we were walking to the front to receive the sacraments, Doodle asked me why I wouldn't let her have some. With a glorious feeling of responsibility and Southern Baptist-ness, I told her that this was a public profession of faith, and meant that she had been saved, and baptised. I told her that as soon as she was old enough to understand, she could receive Jesus in her heart, just the way I did when I was 7 years old. I went into quite a little spiel, and stopped finally to get her response. It was short. I UNDERSTAND MOMMA, NOW MAY I HAVE A LITTLE TASTE?

Hey there! So bummed we didn't get to say goodbye! We are dying to go to Mainland, but there's no jobs for hubby up there, so we're stuck here or back in the States. Let me know if you need anything!!!
